Winter priorities
After you shovel your driveway or your parking space, the next priority for New England disc golfers is to shovel the tee pads.
Disc golfers are generally an amiable group, but playing an unshoveled tee pad is an unpardonable sin. There are numerous reminders on Facebook and Reddit groups to either shovel the tee pad (preferred) or stand off to the side so you don't compress the snow, which will eventually become a frozen, dangerous mess.
Ben keeps a lightweight shovel in his trunk (such is life in Boston); it came in handy yesterday as we lugged it with us during our round at Hollows North in Manchester, New Hampshire.

After cleaning off the tee pad, you have a nice surface to do a run up and follow through (even if it's slow). Here's an old man (me) teeing off from a freshly-shoveled tee pad.
Great shot, in at least two meanings of the term :)
Greetings from snowy Munich!
Looks like a good way to while away a winter's day, old man!
